Terms of Service

These terms are the agreement between you and Tekdlin (Dallas, Texas, United States) covering your use of BuildBank. By creating an account or using the service, you agree to them.

1. Who can use BuildBank

You must be 18 or older and able to enter a binding contract. If you are using BuildBank on behalf of an organisation, you confirm you are authorised to accept these terms for it.

2. Your account

Keep your sign-in details secure and tell us promptly if you think someone else has access. You are responsible for activity under your account. Give us accurate information and keep it current.

3. What BuildBank is

BuildBank generates portfolio project briefs, task breakdowns and supporting material to help you build real work in a chosen field. It is a learning and practice tool.

It is not a guarantee of employment. We do not promise that completing a project will get you hired, interviewed, promoted or paid more. Outcomes depend on you, your market and factors outside our control.

4. AI-generated material

Projects, tasks, guidance and resources are produced with large language models. They can contain mistakes, outdated information, or links that no longer work. Review and verify anything you rely on, especially code you intend to run and anything you present as your own professional work. We do not warrant that generated material is accurate, complete or fit for a particular purpose.

5. Who owns what

  • You own your work. The code, analyses, documents and other output you create while working a project are yours. Use them in your portfolio, show them to employers, publish them. No permission needed.
  • We own the platform. BuildBank itself, including the software, the catalogue, the project and task text we generate for you, our brand and design, belongs to Tekdlin. While your subscription is active you have a personal, non-transferable licence to use that material for your own learning and portfolio.
  • You may not resell, redistribute or republish our generated briefs and task content as a product or service of your own.

6. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

  • Break the law, or use BuildBank to harm, harass or defraud anyone.
  • Share your account, or resell access to it.
  • Scrape, bulk-download or systematically extract our content.
  • Attempt to bypass paywalls, usage limits, or access controls.
  • Probe or attack our infrastructure, or interfere with other users' access.
  • Attempt to manipulate the AI systems into producing content that breaches these terms, or into revealing our prompts or another user's data.
  • Upload malware, or content you have no right to share.

We may suspend or close an account that breaches this section. Where the breach is minor and fixable we will normally tell you first.

7. Payment

BuildBank is a paid product. Prices, billing intervals, automatic renewal, cancellation and refunds are set out in our Billing & Refund Terms, which form part of this agreement.

8. Our community

Our community is hosted on Discord and is subject to Discord's own terms and privacy policy as well as these. What you post there is visible to other members.

9. Availability and changes

We work to keep BuildBank available but do not promise uninterrupted service. We may change, add or remove features. If we make a change that materially reduces what you have paid for, you may cancel and we will refund the unused portion of your term.

10. Ending the agreement

You may stop using BuildBank at any time and cancel your subscription from your subscription page. You may ask us to delete your account by emailing info@tekdlin.com. We may close your account if you breach these terms, or with reasonable notice if we discontinue the service, in which case we will refund the unused portion of your term.

Your ownership of your own work (section 5) survives the end of this agreement.

11. Disclaimers and limits

BuildBank is provided as is. To the fullest extent the law allows, we disclaim implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose and non-infringement.

To the fullest extent the law allows, Tekdlin is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost opportunities or lost data. Our total liability arising out of or relating to BuildBank is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim, or USD 100.

Some jurisdictions do not allow certain exclusions, so parts of this section may not apply to you. Nothing here limits liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

12. Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of the State of Texas, without regard to its conflict-of-laws rules. You and Tekdlin agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Dallas County, Texas, and each of us waives any objection to venue there.

13. Changes to these terms

We may update these terms. For significant changes we will tell you in the product or by email before they take effect. Continuing to use BuildBank after that means you accept the updated terms. If you do not, cancel and stop using the service.

14. Everything else

These terms, together with the Billing & Refund Terms and the Privacy Policy, are the entire agreement between us about BuildBank. If any part is found unenforceable, the rest stays in force. Our not enforcing a term is not a waiver of it. You may not transfer this agreement; we may transfer it as part of a merger, acquisition or sale of assets.
